Grits and Greens Pork Parfait

Here's our well kept secret...a little deal we created a few years back that we still often make. BBQ Parfaits is the way to go for parties, casual gatherings, or just plain old fun. This Southern version of a BBQ Parfait consists of only the best in BBQ. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients:

  • Cheesy Grits (See our recipe below or make your own)
  • Your favorite Greens (See our recipe below or follow your own)
  • Pulled Pork
  • BurntOut BBQ Texas Sauce

Directions: Make the Greens, Cheesy Grits and Smoked Pulled Pork. Grab your favorite Jar or Parfait glass...we use canning jars. Layer with Grits on the bottom, Greens after that, then Pork and top with our Texas Sauce! Boom! Dig in and enjoy!

Greens Recipe:

  • 1 bag Spinach
  • 1 T Butter
  • 2 T Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Milk
  • 1 t Garlic Powder
  • 1 t BurntOut BBQ Signature Rub

Directions: Melt butter and slowly add in the flour and whisk in the milk to create a Rue. Then add the Garlic Powder and Signature Rub. Slowly add the Spinach a bit at a time until all is cooked tender.

Cheesy Grits Recipe:

  • 2 1/4 Cups Water
  • 1/2 Cup Quaker Grits
  • 4 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Signature Rub

Directions: Slowly stir Grits into Boiling Water. Reduce heat and cover. Cook 10-12 min or until thickened add cheese and spices then serve.
